I'm Howard Yam, a frontend engineer and UI/UX designer based in Miri, Sarawak. I build bespoke Next.js and Framer web applications that stand out in crowded markets, turning bold concepts into digital experiences people love.
My journey started with a fascination for the intersection of visual art and digital technology, exploring how subtle layout details, spacing, and micro-interactions turn a static webpage into an immersive experience.
During my Software Development Internship at Imedia Enterprise (Aug 2024 – Jan 2025) and role as Junior AI Solution Engineer at Academy of Artificial Intelligence (July 2025 – June 2026), I navigated real-world web architecture and AI automation.

Using AI every day showed me what really matters. When AI Slop and generic templates fill the web, human taste stands out. Every font choice, color, and subtle motion should exist for a reason, giving a product warmth and real personality.
Rather than treating AI as a shortcut, I embrace AI-native agentic systems directly into my engineering and design workflow. By orchestrating tools like Antigravity, Claude Code, and Codex, I automate routine development, streamline state management, and rapidly prototype complex full-stack features without compromising on code quality.
This hybrid workflow bridges visual design and live code seamlessly. Connecting custom design tokens with APIs across platforms like Framer, Next.js, and modern UI libraries allows me to transform visual concepts into interactive, production-ready web products at unprecedented speed.
AI helps me build faster, but human taste determines how it actually feels. By combining AI speed with hands-on craft, I build web experiences that feel fast, polished, and genuinely human.
